Maine CDC, By Its Own Admission, “Never Said Smart Meters Are Safe.”

The Maine Centers for Disease Control, by its own admission, “never said smart meters are safe.” This quote from an internal CDC email is among numerous documents made public recently via the Freedom of Information Act.

Central Maine Power has repeatedly indicated that the Maine CDC has given the green light to smart meters. Now, we see from the emails that this simply is not true.

We also see the Maine CDC advancing an “argument” about radiofrequency radiation, as opposed to an objective, unbiased analysis. We see Central Maine Power pressing the CDC to deliver comments, so the two findings can be “consistent.”  And, we see the CDC admitting its lack of expertise in this area while at the same time warning the Maine Medical Association not to be “taken hostage” by the smart meter issue.

The documents speak for themselves. Read the emails submitted as newly discovered evidence here.
