CMP calls in ‘Hired Gun’ Previously Used in Tobacco Industry, Asbestos, Toyota Controversies

The health and safety information CMP provided to various state agencies—including the the Maine Public Utilities Commission, Public Advocate and the state’s public health director—about smart meters was provided by Exponent, Inc., a company that has defended the tobacco and asbestos industries in cancer cases.
